About this course:

This course will update the Technician's knowledge and understanding of modern-day diesel vehicles. It covers the theory, operation, and diagnostic processes of diesel engines. Additionally, the course provides an in-depth knowledge of new technologies that lower emissions through a new generation of aftertreatment emission control systems.

CHAPTER SUMMARY:

Engine Hesitates, Sags, or Stumbles During Acceleration and Rough Idle or Stalling 

Spark Knock (Ping or Detonation) and Engine Cranks Okay But Is Hard To Start 

Engine Does Not Crank or Cranks Slowly, Dieseling or Run-On, and Backfire 

Cuts Out or Misfires, Lack of Power, Surges, and Poor Fuel Economy

Rich Exhaust, Lean Exhaust, and Symptoms of a Defective Component
